15 METER MOXON OF AD5UQ

Well, I told you I'd give it a try, so here is my version of a Moxon
antenna. I had some 3/4" PVC pipe for the spreaders and a piece of
thick Plexiglas for the center support. The mast is a piece of 1.25"
conduit and a pipe that was the guide rail for a garage door opener. I
used 14 ga. stranded copper wire and a 1:1 ballun off of a dipole that I
had at one time. I just got it up today, and my first contact was KP2BH
in the Virgin Islands.
Initial analysis says this antenna is 2 S-units stronger that the GAP
vertical, but I've got a lot more testing to do.
