L. B. Cebik, W4RNL, developed an algorithm for calculating the dimensions of a MOXON Rectangle antenna. AC6LA was asked to write a small program incorporating Cebik's work.  AC6LA has an excellent site with several ham radio related software applications.

2024 EDIT: www.cebik.com is defunct. Archives of Cebik's work are available elsewhere, for example: https://www.antenna2.net/cebik/

You are invited to visit web pages for the following hams who have also been experimenting with MOXON antennas:

  • Allen Baker, KG4JJH, kg4jjh@arrl.net who wrote an article for the May, 2003 issue of QST magazine entitled The Black Widow--A Portable 15 Meter Beam...   from MOXON to Cebik to Baker, a proven design that will have you reeling in contacts during Field Day and beyond.  Click here to download construction diagrams and antenna radiation patterns companion to his article.

  • N0KHQ "John", N0KHQ@aol.com.  John designed and built a Coaxial MOXON which employs RG-58 coax instead of wire for the elements to reduce the physical size of the antenna.  You can learn more about John's MOXON by clicking here.

  • WB4QDA "John", wb4qda@comcast.net an interested by-stander that KD6WD and K4QKY talk somewhat regularly on 17 meters.  John runs a new Tentec Orion into a SteppIR 3 element yagi.
